What is castile soap?

Castile soap is a natural non biodegradable soap that is made from vegetable matter. It is free from animal fats and other synthetic ingredients that go into the manufacture of many commercially produced soaps. Traditionally made using olive oil, castile soap may now have coconut, avocado, almond, castor or hemp oils.  The oils give the soap its remarkable both its lathering and cleansing abilities.   • Household cleaner - mix a cup or two of soap with a litre of water for an all purpose environmentally friendly cleaner that can even be applied to floor mopping

  • Half of cup of soap makes an excellent laundry detergent

  • Toilet cleaner, Mix one cup of soap with four cups of water.

  • Make up remover

  • Plant spray

  • Pet wash

Is Castile soap good for your hair?

Castile soap is used by a growing number of people as an alternative to commercially produced shampoos. It is potent enough to clean sebum from the scalp but gentle enough not to dry the hair out

  • Castile soap is not color safe

Is Castile soap antibacterial

Castile soap is a natural disinfectant that works by attaching itself to germs and washing them away. It is not considered to be antibacterial. You can make castile soap antibacterial by adding some tea tree oil to any castile soap solution that you make up
