Vegan Granola

Vegan Granola

What is Vegan Granola?

At first glance, most granola cereals would appear to be vegan. However, a lot of off the shelf granolas contain ingredients that are considered to be non-vegan. Some examples of these ingredients are honey, which is deemed by many strict vegans to be non-vegan, and chocolate although dairy-free chocolate is quite acceptable.

Organic vegan granola is made from ingredients that have been organically grown and harvested while meeting the requirements of a vegan diet.

Vegan gluten-free granola will not contain oats or grains. Oats are a staple ingredient of most off-the-shelf granolas. Oats are considered to be grains and while gluten-free, they are often contaminated with gluten during processing.
