Shipping & Returns


We can ship to virtually any address in Australia.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping costs based on your preferred delivery option.  If you request a delivery to a PO Box or Australia Post temporary locker this can only be done via Australia Post as a carrier.

Please also note that the shipping rates for items we sell are weight-based.  To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.


Shipping Costs

Local shipping to Local Courier zone (Melbourne CBD) is $5.95

Courier zones outside Melbourne CBD are provided flat rate shipping for up to 5kg for $7.95

Courier rates between 5-9kg rates are approx $12.95 (may vary slightly)

Aust Post rates are all discounted and based on destination / cubic weight of products


Shipping Policy

We work towards 48 hour dispatch for all products.  Due to the high volume of daily transactions received, many items sold via discount or on sale will be dispatched as received from our suppliers.  

We currently order as often as daily from from four of Australia’s major organic distributors and manufacturers. Due to interstate locations of some of these suppliers it takes up to 2-3 business days to receive some items, so please be patient with your order.  The maximum anticipated dispatch period for discounted items will be 5 business days from order to dispatch.  This is the offset in supplying the 4000+ lines on our site, at the cheapest rates in Australia from numerous suppliers.

We understand that some items are urgently required for trips away or as gifts.  Please flag any deadlines in comments section of your order so we are aware of time sensative deliveries.

Shipping Carriers

We currently use Australia Post & Fastway Couriers for deliveries of products.

Australia post is the only carrier that can deliver to temporary postal lockers or PO boxes. Please note that both providers require signature on delivery and will only leave products with Authority to leave selected.

Shipping Offers

Buy Organics Online may offer shipping discounts from time to time.  Specifics of any offers will be included here as a reference.

Authority to leave:

Customers can opt to provide delivery instructions in such case when unlikley to be home.  In these instances, Buy Organics Online may override chosen carrier and send via carrier we believe will deliver package most reliably, based on our experience to your location.  If we opt to send via more expensive or cheaper method there will be no adjustment to postage prices paid.  


Authority to Leave Terms & Conditions 

By selecting "Authority to Leave" during the checkout page (or if you selected this option over the telephone with our Customer Service Center), Buy Organics Online will leave your parcel at your unattended premises in accordance with your instructions.

You agree that the parcel is deemed received when left at your premises.

Buy Organics Online and its courier service providers associated with the delivery, do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage which results from this Authority to Leave delivery method. You agree to release Buy Organics Online from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses, including financial and other consequential losses, made, suffered or incurred by you or any other person or entity as a result of this Authority to Leave.

Postage Costs:

Postage Costs are all automatically calculated via website.  Most prices are subsidised.  If you believe the rate you have been charged is wrong please email sales@buyorganicsonline.com.au 

Risk & Title

Buy Organics Online will retain title to the goods you order until you have made payment in full for the goods.  All the risk in the goods will pass to the buyer upon the delivery of the goods to, or collection of the goods by a postal or courier service.  If you would like to obtain insurance please use Fastway as the provider who will cover up to $1500 as part of standard delivery.  Insurance is not valid for any purchases with Authority to leave chosen by the customer.

Returns Policy

We do not accept returns and issue refunds unless a result of error from our end.  

Once an order has been submitted, the purchaser can request a refund, and Buy Organics Online will decide if an order can be refunded.  If we have ordered, received, packaged or paid for the items that were requested by the buyer, we may decide not to allow refunds.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within three weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Processing Refunds:

Refunds will be processed either by;

  • Refunding to credit card used for purchase
  • Refunding paypal transactions
  • EFT to nominated Bank Accounts.

Please note: Any requests for bank cheque or money orders, will be processed on weekly basis inline with post office & bank visits and have fees associated to be passed on and deducted from any refund amounts.

Also note that we are unable to refund to credit cards if purchases were made by alternative methods.

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Buy Organics Online reserves the right to cancel any transaction which may be as the result of incorrectly listed price or shipping price.
